Calibration plasma for the determination of low molecular weight heparins (LMWH).
TECHNOVIEW® LMW Calibrator calibration plasmas are prepared from citrate plasmas supplemented with different concentrations of low molecular weight heparins.
Informations
Heparins are the most commonly used anticoagulants.
The biological activity of sulfated glycosoaminoglycan groups is their ability to accelerate (up to 2000 times) the inhibitory effect of antithrombin (AT) on the coagulation proteases.
It consists of short polysaccharide chains with an average molecular weight of less than 8000 Da.
They are obtained by fractionation of heparin polymers.
